  • Reset the PSU: Turn off the power switch on the PSU, wait a few seconds, then turn it back
    on.

  • Check monitor connection: Ensure the HDMI/DisplayPort cable is connected properly to the GPU (not the motherboard).
  • Test with another cable or monitor: Rule out display issues.
  • Reseat the GPU: Remove and reinstall the graphics card properly.
  • Check RAM: Try using one stick at a time in different slots (use the 2 nd slot).
  • Clear CMOS: Reset BIOS settings by removing the motherboard battery for a few minutes.
8. My PC keeps restarting or shutting down randomly.
  • Check for overheating: Use software like HWMonitor to check CPU & GPU temperatures.
  • Clean dust from fans and heatsinks: Overheating can cause shutdowns.
  • Check PSU wattage: Ensure your power supply can handle your components.
  • Update BIOS and drivers: Outdated firmware can cause instability.
  • Clear CMOS: Reset BIOS settings by removing the motherboard battery for a few minutes.
  • Check for faulty RAM: Run a Windows Memory Diagnostic test.
  • Disable Automatic Restart: This can help you see if there's a specific error causing the shutdown. Go to Control Panel > System and Security > System > Advanced system settings >
Startup and Recovery Settings, and uncheck "Automatically restart." (Below System failure)
9. My games are lagging or running slow.
  • Lower game settings: Reduce graphics settings like shadows and anti-aliasing.
  • Update GPU drivers: Install the latest drivers from NVIDIA or AMD.
  • Close background applications: Use Task Manager to end unnecessary tasks.

delete them (Shift + Delete to permanently delete). (You may need administrative permission to

10. My PC is overheating. How can I fix it?
  • Ensure proper airflow: Keep vents unblocked and the case positioned in a well-ventilated
    area.
  • Clean dust buildup: Use compressed air to clean fans, CPU cooler, and GPU.
  • Check fan speeds: Adjust fan settings in BIOS or software like MSI Afterburner.
  • Reapply thermal paste: If the CPU is overheating, applying new thermal paste may help.
  • Update BIOS and Motherboard drivers: Outdated firmware and chipset drivers.
11. My PC is making loud noises.

  • Clean dust from fans: Dust buildup can cause fans to work harder and make noise.
  • Replace noisy fans: If a fan is faulty, replacing it may be necessary.
  • Check for coil whine: High-pitched whining noises from the GPU are normal but can be reduced by enabling V-Sync or frame limiters.
12. My PC isn’t detecting my storage drive.
  • Check cable connections: Ensure SATA/M.2 cables are securely connected.
  • Initialize the drive: Go to Disk Management in Windows to set up a new drive.
  • Update BIOS and chipset drivers: Some motherboards require updates for M.2 SSD support.

  • Restart your router: Power cycle your modem and router.

  • Disable background downloads: Stop Windows updates or other apps using bandwidth.
  • Move closer to the router: If using Wi-Fi, reduce distance and interference.
14. My PC is stuck on a black screen or won’t boot into Windows.
  • Restart in Safe Mode: Press F8 or Hold Shift + Restart to boot into Safe Mode.
